Description

The Community Development Liaison supports the mission, goals and strategic plan of Nevada Donor Network, Inc. (NDN) through assisting with the volunteer program, supporting and maintaining vital out of hospital partner relationships, and supporting the Community Development team in community outreach and events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s):

  • Handle incoming calls for the department and greet/host visitors as needed
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
  • Schedule and coordinate team and various meetings
  • Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence
  • Write and edit documents such as letters, reports and instructional documents (SOPs, job aides, work flows, etc.)
  • Create and maintain filing systems, electronic and physical
  • Collaborate on the volunteer program with the Aftercare team and community event liaison as defined in Community Development Strategic Plan including:
    • Collaborate with Aftercare to determine donor family and recipient volunteer interest
    • Retention and Recognition
      • Implement best practices for volunteer retention 
      • Provide ongoing volunteer support and appreciation 
    • Event Coordination
      • Maintain volunteer database for tracking and scheduling volunteers
      • Coordinate materials and volunteers for upcoming events
  • Community Development Support
    • Generate quotes and submit orders for Community Development programs and general event materials as requested
    • Collaborate and assist on volunteer page content on NDN website
    • Collaborate and assist with communication, social media, database management, website management, event planning and report management
    • Support tabling events and NDN signature events as scheduled by manager.
    • Support maintenance of partnerships with various community partners such as chambers, religious leaders, community leaders, law enforcement agencies, hospices, emergency medical services, funeral homes, and coroner/medical examiners as scheduled by manager
  • Possibility of responding to the Office of the Clark County Medical Examiner if trained and signed off on an as needed basis.
      •  Conduct donor and referral educations for external partners as needed 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications


Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) in related field, or equivalent experience, with experience in healthcare, event planning, analytics, or graphic design preferred.
Experience: Six months to one-year related experience
Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and social media platforms. Experience with website development and management, including Word Press, preferred
Certificates & Licenses: None
Other Requirements: Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed for events
