Primary Purpose: Works in all aspects of Customer Service including animal intake, processing
Surrender/Returns, Adoptions, and Animal Care related duties. Reno campus is Responsible to and
under the direction of the Client Services Director and Client Services Manager. Carson campus is
responsible to and under the direction of the Carson Shelter Manager.

Qualification Requirements:
High School Graduate or equivalent
Prior experience in customer service or hospitality field. Demonstrable public relations and
customer service skills.
Must be able to multi-task, be a quick learner and transition between various tasks as needed.
General Qualifications:
Must have a passion for the human-animal bond and support the mission of the Nevada
Humane Society.
Must treat animals humanely, with love and concern both on and off the job and transmit these
values to others.
General knowledge of pet behavior and care. Ability to work with all kinds of animals in a safe
and responsible manner.
Confident computer skills including experience with Google Drive, Microsoft Word, Excel,
Outlook, social media, and internet navigation.
Goal oriented, self-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to follow detailed written and verbal
instructions.
Valid Driver’s license
Positive attitude a must!
Additional Qualifications that would benefit this position:
Prior background in animal welfare.
Animal behavior experience.
Prior work experience in customer service
