Job Overview: The elementary art teacher will be responsible for providing art education to students across multiple schools within the district. This position involves fostering creativity, teaching basic artistic techniques, and introducing students to various art forms and styles. The teacher will collaborate with school staff to integrate art into the curriculum and support students' artistic development.

- Develop and implement age-appropriate art lessons for students from kindergarten to fifth grade.
- Teach fundamental art skills such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
- Introduce students to art history, famous artists, and diverse cultural art traditions.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
- Assess students' progress and maintain accurate records of their artwork and achievements.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate art into core curriculum subjects.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
- Organize and participate in art exhibits, performances, and other school-wide events showcasing students' artwork.
- Maintain art supplies, equipment, and resources for multiple school locations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- State teaching certification or eligibility for certification in elementary education or art education.
- Previous experience teaching art to elementary students, preferably in a diverse educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of art history, techniques, and contemporary art practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff.
- Passion for art education and fostering creativity in young learners.
- Organizational skills to manage art supplies and resources across multiple school sites.
- This position is based in multiple elementary schools within the district.
- Full-time position with benefits, following the school calendar.
- Some flexibility in schedule may be required to accommodate school events and art exhibitions.
