New England Appliance Group is Hiring an Inventory Manager Near Franklin, MA

NO AGENCIES PLEASEPOSITION OVERVIEW:
The Inventory Manager position plays an integral part in the integrity of the company by working with the Director of Merchandising to deliver on purchasing & inventory forecasting goals as well as key warehouse performance metrics. This role will manage the inventory team to meet inventory/purchasing departmental goals and ensure that company process & procedures are followed and documented. This position will work on a variety of Inventory/Warehouse related projects/initiatives requiring a professional level of collaboration with co-workers at all levels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for Inventory Management which includes controlling when and how inventory is taken in.
  • Implement new technology in the warehouse as directed by the Chief Financial Officer and CEO.
  • Analyze inventory trends and rationalize internal and external factors
  • Improve the working communication between the Warehouse and Office.
  • Improve inventory management and order processing procedures, implementing best practices where necessary.
  • Support obtaining and maintaining ISO 9001 Certification where necessary.
  • Review inventory turns and recommend improvements in the ordering process.
  • Working in tandem with the Director of Merchandising on the narrow and deep inventory strategy.
  • Responsible for improving inventory accuracy through the cycle counting process.
  • Responsible for Merchandise Return processes and procedures.
  • Improve Alert Inventory notifications within and outside organization.
Supervisory Experience:
  • Provides department direction by leading the efficient operation of the Purchasing team.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing direct reports.
  • Conducts Inventory/Purchasing staff’s timely & constructive performance evaluations.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • BS degree in Business Management, or related business experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a supervisory inventory management, warehousing or purchasing operations role.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Growth Mindset and Can-Do attitude.
  • Proven expertise in forecasting and ordering vendor merchandise in large volumes.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership & project management skills.
  • Excellent ability to conceptualize long-term business goals & develop orderly processes to accomplish those goals.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, decision-making, & problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of business ERP systems and preferably a wireless warehouse system.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Possess strong ability to create & deliver presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups (members/vendors/outside truckers/co-workers).
  • Ability to work productively, efficiently, & effectively while under pressure & be able to deliver quality work.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Proficient skills in MS Office Suite.
  • Willingness & ability to learn, improve & adapt.
  • Ability to lift at least 15 lbs and work prolonged periods at a desk on a computer.
