New England Center for Children Inc is Hiring a Special Education Lead Teacher- Bennington VT Near Bennington, VT

We currently have an amazing opportunity for Certified Special Education Teacher or BCBA to work in a supervisory role providing clinical and educational oversight for a Partner Program classroom (located in Vermont) for students with autism and related disabilities based in a public school. The NECC Partner Program is a model that is implemented in partnership with the school district and is grounded in the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership and supervision for a Partner Program Classroom with up to 7 learners and paraeducators.
  • Special education case management for learners in the classroom
  • Leadership, training, and coaching for the paraeducators in the classroom
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to provide quality inclusion opportunities for the learners in the classroom
  • Work cooperatively with school personnel (principal, general education, and special education staff)
  • Work closely and supportively with families

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • VT licensed special educator (or an out of state license that can be transferred to VT) or BCBA
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Experience and proficiency in the application of the principles of ABA
  • Exceptional communication skills, interpersonal skills and proven leadership ability with prior supervisory experience are preferred.
  • Driver’s license or access to reliable transportation
