We currently have a need for a Senior Network Cloud Engineer to design and implement a new multi-cloud network. Global Financial Services, Pharmaceutical or Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and deploy scalable solutions for both global networks and data centers
• Architect and implement available cloud network architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP
• Design and deploy Aviatrix-based multi-cloud network architectures, leveraging the platform's advanced features to enhance cloud connectivity, security, and performance
• Configure and manage cloud networking components such as VPCs, VNets, Subnets, Peering, Load Balancers, Security Groups, Network ACLs, and VPNs
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) scripts using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Deployment Manager to automate network provisioning and configuration
• Implement and maintain cloud network security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and optimize cloud network performance, ensuring minimal latency and high throughput
• Diagnose and resolve complex cloud network issues, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure service reliability
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and knowledge transfer
• Work closely with cloud architects, developers, and other stakeholders to design and deploy cloud solutions that meet business requirements and technical standards
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Identify, research, evaluate and implement emerging network technologies

• Escalation of problems as appropriate to management

Skills required:

• Bachelor's degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience
• 7 years’ experience with enterprise-level network design and deployment
• 4 years’ experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing native cloud services across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Aviatrix implementations a plus
• Knowledge of scripting with Python, Perl, Ansible, Terraform and various other scripting tools
• Proficient with the design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring of core routing and switching, LAN/WAN/ MAN services
• Proficient in routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, MPLS-TP
• Experience with Nexus 9k, 7k, 5K, 2K configuration and design. 2 years’ experience with ASR’s

• Experience with Network Security, i.e. Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet
• F5 Load Balancing experience (LTM, GTM, ASM)

• DNS, DHCP & IPAM (DDI) protocols and security (Basic DNS and DHCP concepts, IPAM, IP addressing, VLANs).
• HTTP/S proxy servers and security (web proxy, HTTP protocol knowledge, troubleshooting, browser interaction, web security, filtering/authentication) Bluecoat experience a plus.
• Through understanding of IP concepts including routing, VLAN's, QoS, tuning and capacity management concepts
• Ability to analyze and design network systems to achieve efficient and secure operation
• Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, including packet-level traffic analysis
• Current Cisco data networking certifications i.e. CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE strongly preferred.
• Experience working in large enterprise networks is desired. The ability to work under pressure and interface with senior management will be key to these roles.

Physical Demands:

• Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
• Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
• Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.

This position is onsite in NYC paying a salary range of $175,000 to $200,000.
