SummaryThe Security Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance to New Era Technology clients and facilitate resolution to various support issues. These services may include consulting, on-site or remote troubleshooting, and support for clients with various network technologies, installation and integration, migration services.? The Systems Engineer must demonstrate superior proficiency in the performance of these services.? Dedication to quality and customer satisfaction are critical success factors for this position.
Primary Duties
  • Customer Satisfaction through the delivery of world class Support Services.
  • Dedicated to always providing exceptional customer service.
  • Problem-solving and resolution of support issues and escalating where appropriate.
  • Optimizing productivity while assigned to customer tickets or projects.
  • Ability to prioritize work through ticket and project status.
  • Occasional on-site to nearby customers (less than 5%).
  • Occasional on-call responsibility/rotation.
  • Participation in process improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation skills for customer environments.
  • Provide Support within our Security environments, as well as learn and grow within other domains
COMPETENCY:
  • Understanding of technical aspects of Security Related Networks and the operation of Cloud and/or On-Prem Security Systems, not limited to, cameras, access controls, servers, alarms, and other system.
  • Security system related equipment. Ability to provide some troubleshooting of networks which facilitate these Security Systems working properly.
  • Soft Skills: strong customer interfacing skills (verbal, social, written); strong communicator; problem solver; good interpersonal skills; demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and resourcefulness. good organizational skills· Possess solid computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate or technical degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Previous call center or service desk experience preferred; 3-4 years’ experience in a customer service role.
  • Previous experience in Access Control and Camera Systems.
  • Preferred experience with Brivo, ExacqVision, Avigilon, Open Eye Networks, Ava Aware and Open Path.
  • Previous experience with troubleshooting and understanding Security related Networks and Network Gear (i.e. Switches, Firewalls, Routers, Servers and etc.) QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge and experience with some of the following, Brivo, ExacqVision, Avigilon, Open Eye Networks, Ava Aware and Open Path.
  • Knowledge and experience with Networking Devices and Security related Networks· Experience with Programming/Troubleshooting Intrusion/Alarm systems.
  • Experience with using remote software to connect to and navigate servers.
Language SkillsEnglish required, other languages a bonus
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Remote
Hours: Full time position. Working hours Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm EST
TRAVEL: Up to 5% travel locally when required

Physical Demands
