About New Foundations Home Children

New Foundations Home For Children is a private, nonprofit agency specializing in caring for emotionally troubled children, adolescents, and families. We provide an array of programs to meet the increasing demands for quality children and family services. It began as a small residential setting on County Home Road in Anderson, South Carolina in 1974. The organization grew to become Anderson Youth Association and a home for girls was added in 1976. In 1988, we began to offer a Supervised Independent Living program, and then a Crisis Stabilization Program in 1990. Over the course of the following ...decade, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, a Clinical Day Program, an Experiential Learning Program, Wrap Around Services, increased Independent Living services, and The Family Counseling Center of Anderson were added. Therapeutic Support Services were also created to serve families in eight upstate South Carolina counties. In 2000, Anderson Youth Association became New Foundations Children & Family Services, Inc. We continued under that name for almost 10 years until we reached back to our roots and officially changed our name to New Foundations Home For Children. We are relentless in our pursuit to keep children safe, strengthen families, and provide necessary treatment interventions. The staff and volunteers of New Foundations believe that this is the very framework by which the agency was built and we will continue to do our part to honor so many that have dedicated their time, energy, and efforts in helping the children and families of South Carolina. We are Securing the Future for Children and Families Whatever It Takes! More
