The State of New Hampshire, Lottery Commission has a full time vacancy for Data and Digital Analyst.
Summary:
To gather, analyze and interpret data for the performance evaluation of lottery products, game programs, and retailers for use in recommending opportunities to improve marketing campaigns, performance of products and business practices. This position is based out of the Concord, New Hampshire Lottery Headquarters.
Responsibilities:
o Assists Lottery teams with the analysis of game, product, and program problem solving areas including technical and process troubleshooting, and validation of operations, sales, and activities concerning instant games, Fast Play, Keno, and iGaming, as well as, interactive and second chance initiatives; this also includes input for all product lines to be developed in the future.
o Create develop and maintain methods to track day-to-day key performance indicators for the various lottery programs and product lines.
o Provide management and key vendors with actionable information, analysis and identification of problem areas via clear visual, written and verbal communications for review and implementation.
o Analyze performance of marketing campaigns and work with the Digital Marketing Coordinator to document findings and make recommendations on how to improve future campaigns.
o Consolidate data and recommendations into reports that can be shared with management, internal teams, vendors, retailers, and other interested parties. Create and/or update dashboards, graphs, and other visualizations to optimize the presentation of data.
o Consult with the marketing agency and Lottery Commission departments to understand data needs then develop strategies and tools to fulfill the needs.
o Assist in the development, implementation, and analysis of surveys, focus groups and customer interviews to uncover insights to improve the performance of day-to-day business operations.
o Conduct research to understand how the lottery industry and its leaders are using data to drive sales, make decisions, and improve day-to-day operations. Synthesize results of the research to develop a business case with recommended solutions and practices to be implemented at the NH Lottery.
o Assist with system testing to ensure reports and data display and function as expected. Review system specifications to ensure accuracy with the user experience and interface. Based on data, suggests A/B testing for iLottery and marketing campaigns to measure efficacy to drive future results.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major study in economics, statistics, accounting, business or public administration, or a bachelor's degree with demonstrated application of quantitative and/or statistical research techniques demonstrated by a minimum of five courses in economics, quantitative techniques, and/or statistics. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience
Experience: Four years' experience in the field of economic, statistical, or financial research, business administration, budget analysis, fiscal management, or analytical and statistical techniques. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
License/Certification: Must possess a valid driver's license for statewide travel.
Preferred Work Traits: Ability to use information technology in accessing, collecting, analyzing, maintaining, and disseminating data and information. Comfortable working with large datasets. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to see how data can impact business performance and business decisions. Ability to correctly interpret and report on findings to make key business recommendations. Ability to present analysis clearly in a visual, verbal and/or written format to a wide audience. Intermediate Excel skills with proven analytical background. Motivation to continuously learn and improve skills. Ability to work effectively with all personality types and technical backgrounds.
