New Heights Charter School of Brockton is Hiring a Marketing Coordinator Near Brockton, MA

New Heights Charter School is Massachusetts’ only public school that involves all grades (6-12) in the Early College approach. Nearly all our 11th and 12th graders are full-time students on a college campus with younger students earning college credits at the school. You will join a committed, creative team of educators who provide academic and social-emotional support to young people coming from high-need backgrounds ensuring they are college and career ready. We support our staff with a wide array of professional development opportunities and coaching. Strategic Planning
  • Oversee, communicate, and coordinate strategic marketing plan, branding, external relations, and marketing planning annually with clear goals for the school that capitalizes on NHCSB’s story and unique mission components.
  • Identify and promote noteworthy stories in the school in line with the school's marketing strategy.
  • Work closely with NHCSB leadership to develop a calendar for all marketing and communications.
  • Design and oversee events that encourage the community to engage with NHCSB in a meaningful way (ex: heights vs. heroes)
  • Create a plan in conjunction with the NHCSB Building Committee and the Director of Operations to coordinate projects related to the school “look and feel,” including poster design and procurement, photography for annual stock photo refresh, building upgrades and more.
  • Design, execute, and use data to continuously improve social media strategy.
  • Utilize current and innovative social media techniques to design engaging content
  • Participate in all event planning for NHCSB that will garner media, community, or other external attention to ensure appropriate branding and professional quality of all materials and the overall event. This includes (but is not limited to) high school graduation, development events (in coordination with the Director of Development), prom, and more.
Internal and External Communications
  • Manage the outreach for district-wide communications in collaboration with other departments.
  • Support the production of and/or create messaging/ materials for marketing, recruitment, and advertising initiatives for NHCSB for key stakeholders including: mailers to prospective families, a monthly newsletter, email blasts, etc.
  • Provide translations of communications from the school to the home and for all promotional, recruitment, or marketing materials.
  • Draft written materials, including press releases, statements to the media, talking points and informational packets for official visits.
  • Work collaboratively with and support the efforts of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) (if/when applicable)
  • Create, maintain, and update press kit
Student and Staff Recruitment
  • Assist with updating visitor packets, event communications, and event marketing.
  • Manage communication (emails, mailings, other outreach) to keep prospective families, applicants and supporters informed and engaged.
  • Annually update / revise recruitment promotional materials including translation/interpretation.
  • Manage all media related aspects of NHCSB’s recruitment work, including billboards and bus/subway creatives; video shoots; and more.
  • Participate in the school program (e.g. fieldwork, culminating events, kick-offs, lessons, professional development) in order to build a comprehensive understanding of the school.
  • Work collaboratively with the HR leadership team plan and implement employee recruitment-related programs, activities and initiatives
Promotional Material Generation and Content Management
  • Attend school events to take high-quality photos and videos for social media and district publications.
  • Design event communication plans to engage stakeholders around key initiatives, in partnership with executive leaders
  • Anticipate staff needs ahead of major events and solicitations; take a proactive approach to planning and execution.
  • Gather examples and content to showcase latest developments at the school and in the field for fundraising and marketing purposes.
  • Oversee graphic design for print and web as well as generate and manage website content consistently with new media releases, information, and photos.
Community/ Media Relationships
  • Serves as the school’s chief media relations officer, including developing relationships with media contacts and responding to media requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Act as the point person for all social media, digital publications, media relations, advertising, writing, and editing for NHCSB.
  • Attend appropriate meetings, when necessary, Board and Committee meetings, Marketing, and development.
  • Execute the district’s media strategy and build strong relationships with local media outlets, networking to ensure media presence at key events.
  • Coordinate and develop a diverse network of community connections along with Recruitment Coordinator to support marketing and recruitment goals.

  • Demonstrate strong oral communication, writing, editing, and presentation skills, which demonstrate the ability to synthesize, analyze, and present information clearly and concisely.
  • Be willing to ask questions when something is unknown or unclear.
  • Check and respond to email daily (within 24 hours).
  • Accept and incorporate performance feedback objectively.
  • Practice confidentiality and maintain a high standard of ethics.
  • Demonstrate a belief in NHCSB core values.
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Demonstrate strong professional judgment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to converse comfortably with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and proactively with stakeholders.
  • Participate regularly in scheduled meetings.
  • Actively participate in relevant committees
