Customer Payment Representative
Thomasville, GA | Temp to Perm | $15.00 / Hour
We are looking for a customer payment representative for an entry level cashiering position responsible for performing a variety of clerical and cashiering tasks requiring independent judgment and actions, including the making of frequent decisions dealing with complex customer service sensitive issues and in accordance with the Municipal laws, policies and practices.The ideal applicant would have great customer service skills and preferably Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Receives, counts, balances and reports cash and negotiable instruments for payment of all monies received
- Receives payment and returns receipt to customer
- Counts and bands money received frequently during the workday
- Daily deposits must equal postings and monies deposited in bank
- Gives information to other divisions and the public, applying significant knowledge of departmental rules, regulations and procedures to interpretation made
- Provide outstanding customer service that meets or exceeds the needs and reasonable expectations
- Aid coworkers and the manager with additional duties as needed
Requirements:
- Clean Drug Test
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willing to undergo criminal background check
- Willing to undergo credit check
- Must be great with money handling
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
- Following functions required on a constant basis (more than 80 percent): sitting, holding, keyboarding, reading, math skills, eye-hand coordination, clear vision, hearing contact with general public, and use of computer
- Following functions required on a frequent basis (more than 50 percent, but less than 80 percent): use of calculator, writing, standing, walking, reaching, grasping, talking, and use of telephone
Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Pay Rate: $15.00 Hourly
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
