Loan/Lending Operations

New Brunswick Office - (5 days a week required)

The Lending Operations Analyst is primarily responsible for servicing closed loans, portfolio monitoring designed to minimize defaults, and managing delinquencies. This role also processes, tracks and reports on loan transactions and works closely with Loan Servicing Officer on preparing various reports on loan activity.

Qualifications:

• Loan Operations or Lending Operations a must
• Must be able to calculate interest by hand
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel
• Knowledge of Credit Reporting requirements as it pertains to commercial lending a
• Experience utilizing loan servicing system i.e., Benedict (LOANS! For .Net) preferred
• Possess a high-level of moral judgment for handling confidential information
• Strong oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to foster positive working relationships with a wide range of people
• Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize workloads
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Reporting to the New Brunswick, NJ office 5 days a week is required

Responsibilities

• Ensure assigned specialized loans are serviced properly and efficiently through diligent monitoring of requests and strict adherence to procedures
• Perform quality control on new deals, restructures, and amendments by thoroughly understanding the credit agreement verifying system setup accuracy
• Monitor and assist in tracking new loan accounts in the loan servicing system (LOANS! For .Net), from initial approval through the final payoff
• Maintain weekly reports on loan statuses and all upcoming pending changes to loan structures and record actions for next steps required for at risk loans
• Monitor and reconcile borrower escrow and reserve accounts, including tax and insurance escrows, interest reserves, operating and replacement reserves, and debt service coverage reserves as outlined in loan documents
• Assist the Director, Lending Operations in monitoring and implementing servicing changes related to changes in terms, rate resets, loan modifications, and loan workouts
• Ensure all monies due and payable are collected and/or reconciled, and all past-due principal interest and fees are reported, followed up on, and ultimately collected
• Input loan transactions accurately and timely to the core loan servicing system in accordance with approved request, policies and procedures
• Monitor and escalate past due principal, interest, and fees to ensure that the loan accounting system is accurate and provides borrowers with timely and accurate invoice
• Responds to and researches credit bureau requests and any corresponding maintenance
• Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
• Perform loan maintenance in the core system as directed
• Review final loan documentation for final determinations on interest rate calculations, repayment- terms, and participation interests
