Objective: Provides direct assistance and support to the Lending Manager relative to Healthcare Employees Federal Credit Union (HEFCU) goals and growth plans. Cross-sell all credit union products and services and underwrite in accordance with approved HEFCU policies and guidelines.

Essential Job Functions:

• Process and decision all incoming consumer loans; providing approval and or denial notifications per regulatory requirements and HEFCU approved policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Make recommendations to management on loans exceeding individual limits
• Cross-sell credit union products and services under direction of management with ongoing Sales and Service culture philosophy and emphasis on loan referrals
• Provide outstanding member service in all areas; working with members in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner. Handle member complaints; escalate where necessary/ required
• Assist in training loan staff and the Lending Manager with special projects as needed
• Review and respond to consumer credit disputes via e-Oscar
• Ensure compliance with all lending rules and regulations and attend seminars/ conferences as needed
• Assist with annual review of all credit lines, HMDA and NMLS filings and reporting
• Prepare Subordination Agreements and Loan Modification Agreements
• Reconcile CPI, GAP, and MRC, and post to members’ accounts where appropriate
• Provide back-up support to department
• Attend Seminars and/or Webinars to expand working knowledge of lending and credit union operations
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in Consumer Loan Underwriting.
• Minimum of 7-years-experience in underwriting Consumer Loans with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills. Must be proficient in MS Office with enhanced experience in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
