Job Details Job Location New Life North - Colorado Springs, CO Position Type Full Time Salary Range $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 Salary Description Duties and Responsibilities
Provide lighting support for weekly meetings.
Create set design.
Work with video team to create an immersive visual experience during events
Purchase and installation of lighting equipment when necessary.
Equipment repair and maintenance of all lighting equipment.
Maintain sufficient quantities of standard replacement lighting components.
Evaluate the needs and requests of event guests and leaders and find solutions to those needs.
Supervise lighting department personnel.
Keep on site venues in a state of readiness.
Responsible for staying current on industry trends and equipment.
Attend regular staff meetings and event planning meetings when requested.
Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment among our staff and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries and events of New Life Church.
Cooperate with the Production Director by performing any other duties when asked to do so.
Manage and respond to calls and emails as needed.
Assist the department in coordinating various tasks and procedures.
Communicate regularly with supervisor about departmental issues.
Assist supervisor with special projects, events, and diverse tasks in support of the department.
Attend department meetings, regular all-staff meetings and other meetings as required.
Utilize a thorough understanding of the New Life Church employee policies and procedures.
Demonstrate ongoing financial support for ministries of New Life Church.
Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment.
Cooperate with leadership by performing any other duties when asked to do so.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must have basic knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to trouble-shoot lighting systems.
Must be able to demonstrate style, creativity and competency in managing lighting systems.
Above average understanding of apple and PC computer systems.
Must have a good sense of timing.
Familiarity with Martin Lighting consoles.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Willing to receive instruction.
Ability to read and carry out written and oral instructions.
Ability to perform basic arithmetical functions.
Detailoriented and self motivated.
Ability to verbally communicate effectively and tactfully at all levels.
Personable and helpful attitude.
Ability to handle constantly changing priorities and demands.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and to complete projects on time with little guidance.

Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Education and Experience Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Technical degree in lighting preferred. Associate degree or equivalent. Experience: 5-7 years of related experience Physical Demands
Moderate to considerable physical activity; requires handling of objects up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, climbing ladders, bending, and squatting, crawling in tight spaces, and use of protective equipment.
Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
