Job Summary:
The ACT Peer Specialist will provide peer counseling and support through common experiences as a peer and serve as a mentor. Will also assist participants with identifying, understanding, and combating stigmas and discrimination associated with mental illness and informing and protecting patient rights.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in human services or related field

or

• 2 years paid or volunteer work experience with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
• Ability or willingness to obtain Peer Specialist Certification within 1 year of employment.
• Must have been a recipient of mental health services with strong self-knowledge and sufficiently progressed in their own recovery.
