New Narrative is a nonprofit mental health agency providing integrative mental wellness services for adults age 18 and older with moderate to severe mental health challenges. Our goal is to ensure people seeking mental health care can develop the tools to thrive, not just survive.

The perfect candidate for this role is someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of the individuals we serve and is comfortable working in a variety of environments. This is a great opportunity for someone just starting out in the mental health field. If you have experience as a caregiver, direct support professional, residential counselor or even customer service representative, you will have transferable skills for this role. 

 
Position Description 
Residential Support Specialists partner with service recipients in 24-hour residential and supportive housing settings to provide an enriching and engaging experience in a safe and clean environment. This includes skills building, medication management, assisting in implementation of treatment goals, leading activities, and more. 
As an On-Call Residential Support Specialist, you have the flexibility to build out your schedule in line with the scheduling needs of your life with a minimum requirement of working 5 shifts a month. In this position, you will work in a variety of residential and supportive housing sites with a diverse population of service recipients dependent on the scheduling needs of each program.

Openings 
Our residential and supportive housing programs have 24/7 staffing with the below shift options available:
Day (7:00am - 3:00pm) 
Swing (3:00pm - 11:00pm) 
Overnight (11:00pm - 7:00am) 

Requirements 
Must be 18 years of age and capable of implementing the emergency procedures and disaster plan. 
High school diploma or equivalent. QMHA credentials preferred. 
Must be able to pass State of Oregon criminal records check.
