**Overview:**

New Progressions, LLC is currently seeking a full time detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team. We are a Community Mental Health Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and claims.

**Duties:**

- Review and verify accuracy of billing data

- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies

- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe

- Investigate and appeal denied claims

- Post payments to appropriate accounts in an accurate and timely manner

- Monitor delinquent accounts and provide assistance to patients with billing inquiries

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance requirements

-Must have denial management experience

-Knowledge of HIPAA and state guidelines

**Experience:**

The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

- Experience in medical billing, coding, and collections

- Experience in billing 1500 and UB04 claim forms

- Familiarity with medical records systems

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

· Prefer minimum 3 years in medical reimbursement field

· Ability to read and understand EOBs

· MS Excel skills (filtering and formatting reports)

· MS Word skills (formatting of letters and templates)

· PDF (formatting and editing in Adobe Acrobat or equivalent)

Position requires HS or GED equivalent and some college level courses perferred
