New Progressions, LLC is currently expanding to provide intellectual and developmental disabilities services. New Progressions, LLC is currently seeking reliable, dependable, Direct Care Professionals to assist in our Day Program and our Residential Facilities, serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in northern Jackson, MS.

The Direct Care Professional will play a vital role in providing assistance with daily activities, accompanying individuals on outings in the community, and supporting treatment plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.

The work schedule for this position could vary between 10 am to -7 pm; flexibility is required to meet the needs of participants.

Requirements :

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Mississippi Driver's License with satisfactory driving record
• Will pass CPR, CPI, and other required testing
• 2 years experience working with the IDD population preferred
• Experience assisting others with ADLs preferred

Responsibilities :

• May provide transportation to and from facilities and to and from activities in the community.
• Performs other work-oriented tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Responsible for training participants in skills and conduct daily activities, training, and documentation for IDD day programs.
• Will eat lunch on site with participants and take breaks on site.
• Will remain on site for entire workday, except as authorized by supervisor.
• Demonstrates the importance of community involvement, social interactions, and maintaining relationships.
• Must provide ongoing monitoring & supervision throughout the workday
• Assists with job exploration, application, trains individuals on job specific duties, and enhances natural supports in work environment to facilitate individual's independence in the work place.
• Assists clients with learning independent living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, and social skills.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $11.44 - $15.00 per hour
