Job Description

New River Valley Community Services Emergency Services is seeking a Case Manager! The Case Manager I or II for Emergency Services is a mid-intensive position that provides phone triage, screening services, referral, and support for individuals with Mental Health, Substance Use, Intellectual Disabilities, and Co-Occurring Disorders. This position refers individuals in crisis to Emergency Services staff, completes phone screening documentation to identify potential treatment needs and appropriateness for NRVCS providers, providing services to the clients as well as to their families/care-givers and may include telephone crisis intervention and/or empathy. The Case Manager would also be responsible for coordinating services and/or resources needed by the consumers to support their basic needs and enable them to remain and function optimally in the community.

Starting Hourly Rates:

Case Manager I: $17.56

Case Manager II: $18.44

Education Requirements:

Case Manager I:

  • High School Diploma with at least one year of experience in a setting working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders and/or developmental disabilities is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Human Services related field is preferred.

Case Manager II:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Human Services related field is required.
  • Registration as a QMHP or trainee is required. Must maintain QMHP status and all required trainings/CEUs throughout employment.
  • Experience in a setting working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders and/or developmental disabilities is preferred.

Salary : $18 - $18
