New School for Child Development is Hiring a Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator Near Van Nuys, CA

Founded in 1975, The Help Group is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive nonprofit of its kind in the United States serving children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays, abuse and emotional problems. Its broad range of mental health and therapy services and residential programs extends its reach to more than 6,000 children and their families each year. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be highly organized, have attention to detail, and be able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Experience with DMH paperwork and an electronic health record system is a must. Ability to oversee ongoing department projects and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data being processed. Understanding of HIPAA standards and the ability to protect the confidentiality of client and agency information. Effective communication skills and excellent attendance are necessary for the position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide day to day oversight of QA functions at the Van Nuys and Sherman Oaks campuses.
  • Coordinate the agency’s URC process by pulling records for audit and overseeing the tracking of corrections.
  • Tracking and entry of EPSDT and RRR Outcome Measures in the OMA system.
  • Review the accuracy of data entered into the EHRS.
  • Track documentation issues and patterns and bring to supervisor to identify training issues.
  • Coordinate QA projects by organizing and assigning duties and reviewing work submitted by QA Administrative Assistants.
  • Provide training to QA Administrative Assistants as needed.
  • Assist with prepping client records for external audits and program reviews.
  • Complete internal auditing of client records.
  • Coordinate the purging of client records and maintain the database of charts that are active, archived, and purged.
  • Approve billable Session Notes in the EHRS for the Van Nuys and Sherman Oaks campuses and oversee the approval of notes for the Sherman Oaks and Van Nuys campuses to ensure consistency across sites.
  • Respond to clinicians regarding questions about documentation and procedures.
  • Maintain access to DMH systems: IBHIS, SRTS, PRM, Network Adequacy, etc. and update information as required.
  • Collect and fax monthly DMH Change of Provider and Cultural Competency Logs. 
  • Assist with the processing of school records requests.
  • Oversee scanning of hardcopy records onto the EHRS and maintain scanning directory for consistency across all programs and sites.
  • Process transition of client records between provider sites across electronic systems.
  • Develop procedures for tracking paperwork due via the EHRS and alerting clinical staff regarding due and overdue paperwork so agency maintains compliance with DMH timelines.

Salary Range:$24.00 - $26.00
