JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of the College Access Center by delivering comprehensive advisement support services to the community regarding educational goals, providing postsecondary pathways, and evaluates academic options with them. The advisor will be responsible for advising, organizing events, facilitating meaningful workshops, College Explorers program, data and networking.
Job Duties include but not limited to:
Advising and Data Management (60%)
Academic Year Programming (30%)
The topics in the series include, but are not limited to, (a) Why College?; (b) True Colors: Exploring Careers; (c) College Trip Etiquette; (d) College Applications and College Knowledge; (e) Senior Application Timeline; (f) Understanding the Financial Aid Process; (g) Financial Award Letter Breakdown, (h) Alternative Pathways, etc. This series is offered in Spring and Summer cycle.
Partnerships and Networking (10%)
