Position Overview: The Key Holder at Kumori/Mori/Sumo/Express is a vital role that ensures the smooth operation of the restaurant, upholding the highest standards of food quality, customer service, and team efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal service.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Supervise, train, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and performance feedback.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members.
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and presentation meet the restaurant's standards.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to maintain consistency in food preparation and service.
- Implement and monitor food safety and sanitation practices.
- Assist in menu planning, development, and execution.
- Monitor and control operational costs, including labor, food, and supplies.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and staff performance.
- Ensure all guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable dining experience.
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Promote a culture of hospitality and service excellence among the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the restaurant industry, preferably in a Japanese or Asian cuisine setting.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and kitchen management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Proficiency in using restaurant management software and tools.
