Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Be able to effectively operate equipment as required.
  • Have a good understanding of the GMPs and Food Security.
  • Notify Food Safety Manager and or Supervisor of any repairs or adjustments that are required.
  • Perform Basic Specification Checks regarding multiple products.
  • Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, and or Government requirements / standards as prioritized by the Company, HACCP, and SQF.
  • Identify and take corrective actions Food Safety Manager or any other Management personnel of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues.
  • Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Identify problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the raw material, processes, quality system, or safety system, by performing Production/Quality Checks as assigned.
  • Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
  • Working as a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Repetitiously performing all required tasks.
  • Discarding irregular product and reporting irregularities to decrease the amount of waste.
  • Ensuring quality and consistency across all departments.
  • Assisting other departments as needed.
  • Enforcing company policies in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Observing and reporting any and all safety concerns that may arise.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization at your workstation and area.
  • Arriving on time for your scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ideal candidate will possess very strong attention to detail.
  • Ideal candidate will excel at multitasking.
  • Familiar with standard units of measurement and measurement tools such as a scale, ruler, etc.
  • Ensure NYIBCO’s products are within specifications.
  • The ability to stand or walk for 6 consecutive hours.
  • Thorough understanding of all Company policies, including GMP’s and safety policies, HACCP & SQF.
  • Can communicate satisfactorily both verbally and written in English.
  • Applicant must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position.
  • Applicant must pass a drug test during the pre-employment process.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 15 pounds.
