New York Life Insurance - Huizenga Team is Hiring an Entry-Level Insurance Sales Agent Near Minot, ND

New York Life is looking for energetic individuals, ideally with sales experience, to join New York Life's growing team in the Minot area for a rewarding career opportunity in the insurance and investment industry.

The New York Life-Huizenga Team is led by Dr. Leroy Huizenga, a Minot native (MHS 1992) and award-winning New York Life Partner. With years of experience in leadership and financial management and a track record of helping others succeed in multiple industries, Dr. Huizenga approaches his role as a Partner as a supportive coach, helping agents in teams get the most from themselves as they achieve their own goals and dreams.

Successful candidates will build a personal practice with New York Life's support and backing. They will serve individuals, families, and businesses in North Dakota and beyond, offering them our comprehensive insurance protection, asset accumulation, and wealth preservation solutions.

Responsibilities involve securing the necessary insurance licenses, participating in and completing New York Life's paid training program, building a clientele with New York Life's support, and providing excellent ongoing client service.

Applicants with prior experience in insurance, sales, banking, real estate, and/or business are especially encouraged to apply.

Compensation:

$80,000 - $150,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Assess each client’s potential life and financial needs to create an individualized financial plan that leverages the products and serves we offer
  • Work with each client to collect personal financial information including status, cash flow, and expectations for documentation in our CRM
  • Assist clients with decisions related to life insurance, mutual funds, savings plans, and other financial products and services
  • Employ a research-based approach to providing financial advice and strategies based on educational meetings and/or seminars centered on client risk tolerance and financial goals
  • Identify, seek out, and generate prospects continuously using social media or other marketing tools and create strong relationships with new clients as their trusted advisor
Qualifications:
  • Must possess uncompromising integrity and the ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Must have the ability to successfully network and prospect for new clients
  • Must have effective relationship management skills
  • Current insurance and/or investment licenses are a plus
