New York State Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation is Hiring a Park Worker 2 Near Salamanca, NY
Duties DescriptionThe incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Allegany State Park Quaker Run Area Park Manager or their designee and will perform or assist with rental office duties including, but not limited to:
- Register campers using a computer-based registration system.
- Represent the Agency and Park in a positive and friendly manner while executing operational assignments.
- Perform cash handling and operation of cash registers and credit card terminals, operate iPhone and/or iPad for Empire Pass sales and validations.
- Maintain full compliance with established internal control procedures.
- Answer inquiries via telephone and in-person, directing calls to the appropriate recipient providing clear and accurate information to all customers.
- Assist the Park Manager or their designee with preparing bank deposits and weekly/monthly revenue and attendance reports.
- May be assigned cleaning duties at the Rental Office and/or support the cleaning crew as needed; may supervise a small crew of lower level/seasonal staff.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
- Must be proficient with computers and various computer software including Microsoft Office products.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and project a positive and welcoming demeanor with park patrons.
- Must be available to work a variable schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Must be reliable, flexible, and willing to work independently and in a team setting.
