Editor & Content Strategist

20 hours per week (HM is willing to work with candidate on work schedule; i.e. either working daily or working a few days a week)

Per HM you’re essentially looking for someone who has held positions as both:

- An editorial, reporter, or content marketing role at a brand or magazine

- A role as a content, web or digital strategist role at a brand or ad agency

Must Have's:

1. Writing & editing

• Engage in the creation and editing of long-form and short-form content, including research-based pieces, white papers, blog posts, video scripts, infographics, websites, and marketing materials.

2. Content strategy

• Ability to build comprehensive content strategies that align with business objectives and support consulting teams.

3. Collaboration

• Collaborating with teams of writers, editors, researchers, and creatives

JD:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Editor and Content Strategist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in both long-form and short-form content creation and editing, be comfortable working with data-based content, and adept at collaborating with teams of writers, editors, researchers, and creatives. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement content strategies for various industries and consulting teams while also diving into the details of ideating, writing, and editing work.

But more than that, we’re hoping you have a flair for magazine-style content creation. We strive to create imminently readable business content, so if you have a journalism background or experience creating magazine-ready, research-based articles for places like Forbes, Fortune, HBR, and MIT, that’s even better. Finally, please have EQ. You’ll be working with a group of smart and driven people, and you’ll be an emissary sharing our work and ethos across a large and matrixed organization. You’ll need the people skills to interview subject matter experts and navigate business situations, figuring out what the right thing to do is. This position reports to the Director of Editorial and Content Strategy for the thought leadership team.
