The position will offer first-hand exposure to financing activities behind real estate acquisitions and development along with accounting for institutional capital partners. Responsibilities:

· Managing the accounting function to ensure accurate and timely company records. This includes overseeing data processing and maintaining accounting systems. Prepare, maintain, and analyze balance sheets for each specific development or acquisitions project and company financials

· Service institutional capital partners compliance and reporting requirements

· Work with Development Managers to prepare construction draw requests and update project's balance sheet

· Maintain investor portal – Juniper Square

· Provide company’s financial information upon request

· Work closely with the rest of the team assisting with regular ad-hoc needs

· Create and manage entities – single purpose entities for commercial real estate

· Collaborate on organizational charts

· Work with new and existing banking relations to make sure company is up to date and can implement the most efficient banking solutions

· Cash flow management

· Respond to CPA’s requests for information

· Prepare company's financials for tax return filings

· Keep accounting software up to date

· Prepare invoices and reimbursement reports

· Initiate wire transfers and ACHs

· Internal controls: putting procedures and controls in place

· Have initiative to research and propose new ideas and tools to increase business efficiencies, save costs and promote better collaboration

· Reconcile and oversee online banking

· Prepare and track payroll requirements and keep records as needed

· Other activities as needed

Skills/Qualifications:

·  Five (5) years of accounting experience. Commercial real estate and institutional capital compliance experience is a plus.

· Bachelor’s degree

· Track record of successful project management capabilities and commitment to clearly setting and accomplishing project deliverables

· Proficiency with preparing financial statements, corporate accounting, and commercial real estate taxes is required

· Able to multitask between different development and acquisitions projects in different markets

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, QuickBooks, and Yardi

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· Attention to detail

· Knowledge of invoicing, online banking, payroll
