Newport Associates is Hiring a Remote Customer Support Representative (remote)

We're on the lookout for an outgoing individual to join our team as a Customer Support Representative! If you're passionate about travel and thrive on assisting others with planning, this remote opportunity is tailor-made for you. As a Customer Support Representative, you'll play a crucial role in crafting exceptional travel experiences for both corporate and leisure clients worldwide.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Research, create, and execute exceptional itineraries catering to client preferences
  • Review individual needs and wants to tailor trips specifically designed to meet their requirements
  • Participate in ongoing training to earn and maintain travel certification
  • Attend webinars with vendors and suppliers to specialize in specific destinations
  • Act as an ambassador for our brand and collaborate with team members
  • Provide suggested budgets for clients and plan trips within budget constraints
  • Create promotional materials for effective marketing
  • Stay updated on changes within the tourism industry, including travel restrictions
  • Promptly respond to all travel inquiries and effectively manage time when researching trips
  • Handle issues that may arise during bookings or travel for clients
  • Maintain up-to-date information within our software
  • Network with tour operators for potential package offerings to clients
  • Participate in Familiarization (FAM) trips when possible
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Effective communication skills with a strong sales background as a plus
  • Smartphone with internet access required; laptop recommended but not mandatory
  • Personal travel experience is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus
