In this position as the Supervisor for Lab Support Services, you'll have the opportunity to interact with multiple levels of hospital leadership while leading an expanding team, currently numbering 70 dedicated professionals who collect specimens from and test our patients. Provide oversight for departmental workflow and technical accuracy, scheduling, and training all while displaying proficient Word and Excel skills in this highly visible position. The shift for this position is Days with flexibility to connect with Evening and Night shift staff plus weekends as needed, as inherent in a leadership role. The location is our Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights.

Preferred Criteria
- Master’s Degree in related field
- Electrocardiography (ECG) Technician Certification from verified National credentialing Agency
- Phlebotomy Technician Certification from verified National credentialing Agency
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of related work experience
- 1 years of supervisory experience
- Understanding of collective bargaining agreements and guidelines as it affects personnel
- Demonstrated leadership, time management, and effective communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in electronic medical record, laboratory computer and queue management systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner Millennium, Qmatic).
- Demonstrated ability to interact, relate to, work with, and support the activities of the workforce
