Lactation Consultant - RN - Postpartum - Full-time - Nights

From obstetrics and gynecology to ante- and postpartum care, our nurses specialize in a myriad of Women's Health areas. We house one of few facilities in the region equipped to help high acuity mothers AND babies on-site. Our Center for Reproductive Medicine has success rates among the world's highest. We're home to New York's first Center for Endometriosis Treatment and Research, and many more progressive initiatives.
The Lactation Consultant is a professional registered nurse who, through clinical experience, plans, coordinates, provides and evaluates educational programs for patient and their families that include Lamaze, Labor and Delivery, Breastfeeding, Newborn Care and Parenting Skills.
This is full-time night shift (7:30PM -8:00AM) located at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Preferred Criteria

• Lactation experience in NICU

Required Criteria

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Current New York State RN license
• Certified Lactation Consultant from International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Board (IBCLC)
• Minimum of 2 years of related clinical experience
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from American Academy Pediatrics
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills
