Clinical Nurse Manager - Medical ICU/ MICU

NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens, is a Level 1 Trauma Center located in New York City’s most culturally diverse borough. At NYP/Queens our nurses bring compassion, talent and quality to patient care. Our Medical ICU is a 20 bedded newly renovated unit were you will work with highly trained specialists to provide care to critically ill patients. MICU thrives on team work and supports an environment that encourages team building and professional development.

Bring your passion for team-building to our Medical ICU unit, offering comprehensive care with a human touch. Clinical Nurse Managers coordinate all aspects of clinical care to ensure the delivery of high-quality, family-centered services to our patients. Assist with unit administration, including the management of staffing needs. Counsel staff RN's on a regular basis, providing clinical education and conducting follow-up procedures as necessary. Foster collaboration and independent thinking. Lead and round with the staff. Mentor, coach, and implement performance and quality improvement.

This is a Full Time Evening shift (37.5 hrs/wk) from 12P - 10P located at 56-45 Main Street, Flushing, NY 11335. Rotating weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master's degree

Required Criteria

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • NYS Registered Nursing License

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience 

  • Demonstrated leadership competencies

  • Previous clinical expertise within Critical Care
