What we're looking for:
Nexamp is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the AP team. You will play a key role in driving the AP process, while providing financial and administrative support to the accounting team. You will have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high achieving and fun professionals. We are seeking a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic professional to join our dynamic team.
You will be hybrid out of our Boston office and report directly to the Manager, Accounts Payable.
The Accounts Payable Specialist is a Full time position, and expected hours during the training process will be Monday-Friday, from 8:30am-5pm ET. The training program is expected to take 3-6 months.
What you'll do:

• Efficiently process vendor bills in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Verify accuracy, completeness, and proper coding of invoices
• Initiate approval workflows to ensure timely review and authorization of vendor invoices
• Initiate payments through various methods including, ACH's, wires, checks and online payments.
• Understand construction phases and the associated coding that corresponds to each phase
• Be able to work in various systems on a daily basis
• Ad-hoc projects as requested by management

What you'll bring:

• Previous accounts payable experience is a plus.
• Experience with NetSuite, Stampli, Procore, Salesforce a plus.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift quickly
• Demonstrates quick thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially when faced with unexpected changes
• Efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively
• The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, consistently taking initiative to stay busy and contribute to the overall success of the AP Team
• Thrives in a dynamic work environment and adjusts well to unforeseen challenges
• Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
• Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
• Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
• Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
• Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
• Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
