What we're looking for:
Nexamp is growing its Portfolio Management team and seeking to hire a Portfolio Analyst. As Nexamp's operating megawatts increase and more portfolios are financed, the Portfolio Management team will be responsible for ever-increasing investor reporting and managerial oversight of our assets. In this role you will play a pivotal role in building and refining portfolio-level financial models, delivering on debt and tax-equity investor reporting requirements, and managing Nexamp's operating portfolio of photovoltaic and battery storage assets. You'll collaborate closely with capital markets, project accounting, FP&A, regulatory, land and stakeholder management, customer success, and operations teams, among others. You will have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high-achieving and fun professionals.
In this role you will be hybrid out of our Boston or Lawrence office. You will report to the Manager, Renewable Portfolios.
What you'll do:
  • Build and enhance portfolio-level financial models to inform budgets and reforecasts.
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data and present findings to management and investors.
  • Assist with corporate and project-level debt and equity financings including cross-team coordination of final due diligence on modeled assumptions and project valuations.
  • Produce project level budget to actual variance analysis and communicate findings to operational teams.
  • Highlight and investigate underperformance and optimization opportunities of operating assets leading to actionable recommendations that drive improved results.
  • Prepare reporting packages and various deliverables to investors and lenders.
  • Work with operational teams to ensure delivery of key alerts and protect portfolios from operational risk.
  • Build relationships with debt and equity investors that enhance Nexamp's reputation and drive repeat investments. Provide intelligent and professional responses to investor inquiries.
  • Build data infrastructure that enables the team to isolate and investigate key performance drivers such as energy rates, energy production, and other metrics.
What you'll bring:
  • Experience in related fields or relevant coursework.
  • Experience working with large datasets, querying databases, and using ERPs such as NetSuite.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
