Nexeo HR is hiring a proactive and skilled Maintenance Team Lead for community properties in Tucson, AZ. If you are a leader who thrives on enhancing community living and excels in facilities management, this is the perfect role for you!

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of maintenance professionals; manage staffing and scheduling to ensure all service requests and repairs are addressed timely.
• Oversee and perform routine maintenance and repairs in apartment units and common areas.
• Respond quickly to maintenance emergencies and coordinate effective solutions.
• Manage the inventory of ready apartments and ensure they meet standards for move-ins.
• Lead various maintenance projects and initiatives.
• Manage scheduled maintenance tasks, coordinate with vendors, and communicate effectively with residents.
• Maintain the high standards set by property management and ensure resident satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years hands-on general maintenance experience.
• Preferred EPA certification with 3-5 years related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong technical knowledge in maintenance systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative and proactive approach to building management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, capable of multitasking and managing multiple projects at once.
• Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends and participation in a rotating on-call duty for emergencies.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and walk, stand, kneel for prolonged periods, and climb a ladder. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
• Successfully pass a preemployment background screening and drug test in accordance with all state and federal regulations.

Certifications: (Candidates without required certifications must obtain certification upon employment)

• Pool Certification
• AC Certification 

Pay: $28-31 per hour DOE, plus quarterly bonus potential!

Schedule:

Day Shift | Monday to Friday | 8 AM - 5 PM

*On-Call Rotation: 2 weeks on-call every 6 weeks with additional compensation.

Compensation and Additional Benefits:

• Rent Discount: 30% off at selected properties offered after 60 days of employment.
• Bonus Opportunities:
• Minicaps: 10 tasks assigned at the beginning of each quarter (e.g., paint touch-up in the clubhouse). $20 bonus per task completed, up to $200 potential per quarter ($800 annually).
• Quarterly Inspections: Property is graded on upkeep and general maintenance. Bonus max is up to $400 per quarter ($1200 annually). For example, a 90% score would result in a $360 bonus.
• Tool Allowance: Up to $400 annually to purchase tools or items that improve job efficiency, with ownership retained by the employee.
