Job Description Summary:

The Machine Maintenance Engineer is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining machines, packing lines, and mechanical systems. They conduct diagnostic tests, perform repairs, and provide preventive maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and reliability of equipment.

Job Description:

  • Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements
  • Inspect machines, packing lines and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
  • Conduct repairs for maximum reliability
  • Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Perform maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
  • Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
  • Replenish fluids and components of machinery
  • Provide consultation on correct preventative maintenance to machines.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair pneumatic systems, painting, facility equipment installation, etc.)
  • Keep logs of work and report on issues.
  • Provide preventive maintenance to equipment according to maintenance schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in machine maintenance or similar engineering roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of machine assembly, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and scheduling.
  • Basic electrical skills and ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to adhere to safety protocols.
