**Description**

****Summary****

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing excellent meals from scratch as well as assisting with other back of house duties. Our line cooks support the team and help to create and maintain an exciting, inviting, and progressive environment. This person should be a high-energy and positive individual who will help foster connections with friends, family, and the community through service, food, and drink. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable. This role will support all aspects of the Line Cook and Prep Cook positions and is expected to adapt to the ever-changing circumstances of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, specifically in regard to restaurant service-style and other state and city guidelines imposed on restaurants.

****Responsibilities****

* Ability to prepare food to the exact specifications of the chef; dedicated to creating well-executed and delicious food.

* Able to work quickly while implementing set standards including abiding by quality, portion control and presentation expectations.

* Prepare for food service; clean and chop food, set up and stock stations.

* Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards; must maintain companys safety and cleanliness standards at all times.

* Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness are a Keen attention to detail. Assist with cleaning and stocking. Open and close the restaurant and perform related work as requested.

* Ability to perform objectives in a timely and efficient manner with a focus on quality while always maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers.

* Promote and embrace the restaurants community and culture by demonstrating respect, positive energy, dependability, honesty, initiative, an outgoing nature and a pleasant Must maintain a professional appearance at all times which includes but is not limited to complying with all Health Department regulations as necessary.

****Qualifications****

* A culinary degree or comparable experience. Minimum of 1-year experience cooking on a kitchen line.

* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures. Passionate about quality foods and the standards by which it is served.

* Superior temperament, adaptable nature and good communication skills. Able to work well in a high pressure, fast-paced work environment.

* Demonstrate integrity in all areas, both personal and professional.

* Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly.

* May be required to work in very warm or cold conditions for an extended period of time.

* The ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

* Must be at least 18 years of age.

****Working Conditions****

* Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level.

* Working with hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment as well as operating office equipment.

* The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 45 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

* Operation of any high-pressure steam boiler or high temperature water boiler.

****Salary****

* Hourly $12.32 plus tips --- Our BOH Team Members are apart of our Tip Sharing Program - This averages out to $15 -25 per hour
