Position Summary:
The Customer Service Representative is a pivotal role responsible for a diverse range of duties crucial to maintaining our self-bagging ice machines. This includes implementing safety and productive maintenance systems and processes, all of which support the achievement of the company's business objectives.
This role encompasses transferring bagged ice between freezers in grocery stores, providing troubleshooting support for in-store ice bagging units (with additional assistance available from our experienced techs over the phone), and ensuring customer satisfaction by engaging with store managers. A company vehicle is provided to carry out these responsibilities.
Reporting to the National Service Manager, you play an integral part in bringing our mission to life. You establish impactful relationships with our customers and represent our brand through the exceptional delivery of our products, equipment, and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· The core responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
· Machine Monitoring: Regularly inspect and monitor ice-producing machines to ensure their smooth operation. Promptly report any issues or malfunctions to the relevant maintenance personnel.
· Performing Simple Machinist Duties: This includes loading bags into the machine, moving ice to freezers for technicians, and conducting routine preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
· Detecting Faulty Operations: Identify faulty operations and defective materials, reporting any unusual situations to the appropriate supervisor.
· Safety and Cleanliness: Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas, ensuring a safe and hazard-free environment.
· Customer Service: Serve as a Next Gen Ice brand ambassador by fostering positive relationships with both existing and potential customers. Be knowledgeable about our products and services and provide exceptional customer service experiences.
· Joy Creation: Create a sense of joy among customers, generating excitement about our company and what we do.
· Voice of the Customer: Act as the voice of the customer within the company, representing their needs and feedback.
· Alignment with Company Values: Always keep our core purpose at the forefront of your daily tasks.
· Deliver ice to designated grocery store locations.
· Perform basic warehouse duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Clear background check and drug screening.
High school diploma/GED preferred, or equivalent experience of three to five years with a stable work history.
Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean and acceptable driving record.
Capable of lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds periodically.
Willingness to travel as required to meet business needs.
Comfortable working at heights of 10 feet or more via ladder.
Highly motivated and able to work independently.
