Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and reliable Bus Driver to join our transportation team. As a Bus Driver, you will play a crucial role in safely transporting passengers, particularly focusing on children and seniors. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit. Responsibilities: - Safely operate a school bus or paratransit vehicle following designated routes and schedules - Transport passengers, including children and seniors, to and from various locations - Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting routine inspections and addressing any mechanical issues promptly - Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, seating, and securing mobility aids as needed - Enforce safety regulations and protocols to ensure the well-being of all passengers - Manage passenger behavior effectively, particularly when dealing with children or individuals requiring senior care - Communicate professionally with passengers, parents, school staff, or caregivers as necessary - Demonstrate proficiency in behavior management techniques to ensure a peaceful travel environment - Utilize bilingual skills if applicable to assist passengers with language barriers Experience: - Prior experience in school bus driving or paratransit services is highly preferred - Proficiency in communicating effectively with diverse populations, especially children and seniors - Strong mechanical knowledge to address minor vehicle issues on the road - Ability to manage passenger behavior and provide senior care as needed - Bilingual proficiency is a plus for effective communication with non-native English speakers Join our team of dedicated transportation professionals committed to ensuring safe and efficient travel for our passengers.
