Responsibilities
- Respond to federal and state tax notices.
- Analyze trust documents to determine income tax status
- Tax return review of clientele consisting of partnerships, C Corps, S corps, gift, estate, fiduciary, individual, real estate, and private foundations.
- Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members.
- Develop and sustain strong client relationships.
- Keep up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
- Manage day-to-day client and team relationships.
- 3 years of public accounting experience.
- CPA or close to completing is mandatory.
- Trust & Estate experience a plus.
- Real estate experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of state/local tax
- Some preliminary knowledge of partnership taxation.
- Excellent command of Excel.
- CCH Pro Systems experience/knowledge
- BNA Income Tax Planner experience a plus (not required).
- Have excellent communication skills and be able to comprehend and explain complex information.
