Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team in Pocatello, Idaho. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical technology and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care

Job Requirements:

• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Assist with the nursing care of patients preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively by performing routine and delegated duties according to the standards of the department and hospital practice and policies.
• Responsible for the preparation and disbursement of surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation pre, intra, and post-operatively.
• Demonstrate knowledge of principles of asepsis.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the standards of AORN guidelines.
• Assume responsibility for clinical competence and professional development.
• Participate in the responsible management of all departmental resources.
• Take call as required by the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and delegated duties to assist with the nursing care of patients across all phases of surgery.
• Prepare and manage surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation effectively to ensure a smooth surgical process.
• Maintain aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
• Adhere to the standards and guidelines set by the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN).
• Continuously improve clinical competence through professional development.
• Manage departmental resources responsibly to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Be available for on-call duties as required to meet the needs of the department.
