Position Title: Director of Medical Surgical

Salary Range: $99,000 - $145,000

Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week, variable shifts including rotating weekends

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Medical Surgical Services to lead our dynamic team. This role demands a visionary leader who can manage both the financial and clinical operations of the Med-Surg department, ensuring exceptional patient care while aligning with our hospital's strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the Med-Surg unit, ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans and policies that enhance service delivery and improve patient outcomes.
• Team Management: Manage nursing staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and development.
• Financial Oversight: Manage the departments budget, optimizing resource utilization and ensuring financial sustainability.
• Program Development: Identify opportunities for service improvement and lead the development and implementation of innovative programs and services.
• Quality Assurance: Implement continuous quality improvement measures to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with hospital leadership, staff, and external partners to advance departmental and hospital-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Masters degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Missouri or eligible for reciprocity; BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience: At least five years of clinical nursing experience, with a minimum of two years in leadership roles within a Med-Surg or similar unit.
• Skills: Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to manage complex budgets, and a solid track record of improving patient care and satisfaction.
