Position Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Shift Times: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Weekend Requirement: Rotation required

On-call Requirement: As needed

Salary Range: $26.34 - $32.39 per hour

General Description:

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative services. The PTA will implement specific components of patient/client interventions, obtain and analyze data related to the provided interventions, and make necessary modifications as directed by the Physical Therapist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures.
• Monitor patient response to therapy, collecting data and adjusting treatments as necessary.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during therapy sessions.
• Assist patients of all ages with various health conditions to improve mobility and perform daily functions.
• Provide care in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments.

Accountability:

• Reports directly to the Rehabilitation Manager.
• Must maintain professional standards and follow the policies and procedures of the facility.

Special Demands:

• Mental: Strong communication skills required for effective interaction with a diverse group of individuals. Must be adaptable to various situations involving numerous tasks and multiple people.
• Physical: Capable of operating necessary equipment, performing technical procedures, and managing various patient care activities.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program with a certification.
• Licensure: Credentialed by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Professions and Occupations, State Physical Therapy Board.
• Certifications: Current BLS certification required.
• Experience: At least two years of related experience preferred. Bi-lingual capabilities are a plus.
