Job Responsibilities:
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of business across various domains, connecting internal topics with external trends and foreseeing potential business challenges. It anticipates business inquiries proactively and recommends insightful analytical solutions or responses. Additionally, it may coach others to expand their understanding of the business landscape.
- Leverages various data types and sources, translating business needs into data requirements and assessing the sufficiency of these sources. It identifies the need for additional data, addresses gaps and quality issues with data providers, and collaborates with other teams to ensure data access and quality. It also utilizes relevant data, frameworks, and analyses from other teams.
- Applies expertise to select ideal analytical tools and techniques for business questions, partnering with others to execute analyses, resolve challenges, and interpret results to provide actionable insights. It critically evaluates data and analysis assumptions to ensure contextual appropriateness and offers feedback on analytical tools developed by Engineering or Data Science teams.
- Develops presentations, including dashboards, reports, data visualizations, and slides, to effectively communicate analysis insights. It synthesizes details from various analyses into a cohesive narrative to inform business decisions and identifies opportunities to improve reporting and presentation efficiency.
- Guides others to present results in an accessible, accurate, and clear manner, ensuring the information is relevant and influences decision-making for the intended audience(s).
- Determines relevant factors and data types for assessing the impact of business, product, and operational decisions, ensuring evaluations consider anticipated risks and previous learnings. It synthesizes results across evaluations, identifies connections to other work, and recommends next steps aligned with strategic business goals.
- Ensures the effective use of quality data sources, methodologies, and analytical tools by leveraging cross-team relationships. It engages stakeholders to identify and apply successful resources from similar contexts. Additionally, it consults on analyses, insights reporting, and interpretation.
- Enhances efficiency in analytics and reporting by promoting reusable, self-service methods for meaningful data interpretation that supports business decisions. It recommends optimal practices for sharing and standardizing insights. Additionally, it evaluates and suggests automated methods for reporting and analysis when beneficial.
- 8-10 years overall years of experience in the field.
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field
- 6 years’ experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience with PowerBI.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience with SharePoint.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with Recommended solutions.
- The ideal candidate should possess strong independent problem-solving abilities and creativity, with the capacity to direct teams towards optimal solutions even when initial requests are misaligned. Key soft skills include effective communication, critical thinking, and project guidance to ensure successful outcomes.

Remote Position
Pay Rate:The annual salary range for this position is 113,000 - $124,000.00 in Washington State. Please note that the salary range is a general guideline. Nextant considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills, and other market and business considerations when extending an offer.
