What will you do as Senior Optical Transport Engineer:

• Responsible for network equipment inventory and design of long distance, ultra-long haul and OTN mesh network transport.
• Engineering of projects for the domestic US in the provisioning database(s) will include installations, decommissions, system rolls and manual updates to address data integrity issues encountered as the result of an outage, NOC move or redline in the field to insure the field and provisioning databases are in sync.
• Maintain equipment inventory records and LD transport in provisioning database(s)
• Create and activate end-to-end services at the optical layer—OTN/SONET/ SDH via OneControl GUI
• Job requirements specific to engineering and design of ultra-longhaul and OTN mesh network transport
• Database cleanup to insure integrity of the system and network

What will you bring to the table as Senior Optical Transport Engineer :

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years relevant work experience with a telecom communications equipment vendor or service provider in configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting LH/Metro Optical DWDM networks
• Technical knowledge of long distance, ultra-long haul and OTN mesh networks
• Equipment Knowledge specific to Sonet/SDH, ULH, OTN mesh and WDM transport
• Vendor Specific Knowledge: Ciena, Infinera, Fujitsu and varied long haul networks
• System Knowledge: BGW or Granite(XNG), CoFEE(Canvas), Nautilus, ICON, CCP, Venue, One Control
