NexTier Completion Solutions is Hiring a Cement Operator Near Midland, TX

Position SummaryUnder supervision, the Cement Equipment Operator promotes excellent customer relations and satisfaction with the work performed at the well site while performing equipment rig up and rig down and preparing equipment for performing the job. This position is responsible for the safe operations of bulk equipment operating and repairing cement pump equipment with well site operations during the delivery of services in accordance with customer's design and key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the Cement Equipment Operator 2 performs necessary calculations as well as data collection and distribution at the well site as needed. At the culmination of each job, cement equipment operator performs the clean-up, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job. Skills are typically acquired by completion of the competency requirements.
Key Accountabilities
  • Responsible for the safe operation of bulk equipment, rig-up of iron and high-pressure pump operations during the delivery of services, in accordance with the customer’s design and KPIs.
  • Responsible for the integrity of the discharge iron installation.
  • Prepares cement pumping equipment for the well site.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform equipment function checks in preparation for the job.
  • Utilizes real-time data under dynamic job conditions, communicating results to appropriate personnel at the location
  • May be required to drive company light-duty and commercial vehicles.
  • Promotes safety awareness, environmental consciousness, and takes an active role in quality improvement processes.
  • Holds pre-job and post-job safety meetings periodically to identify job hazards and risks.
  • Responsible for the rig down of equipment to return to the facilities.
  • Responsible to keep the equipment clean when returned to facilities.
  • Ensures that a high level of efficiency and readiness is achieved by the department in regard to equipment operating.
  • Performs work on his/her own as well as provides assistance to other employees as directed.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with customer and company policies and procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Actively participates in safety meetings to identify and address risks and hazards.
  • Utilizes competency processes to enhance job performance
  • Assist with blow down and move field bins and vertical silos.
  • Required to complete a OSHA respirator fit test.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Knowledge of and Compliance with DOT rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of company policies, HSE standards and PSL guidelines.
  • Skills to drive Commercial A Vehicles
  • Knowledge of Lifting, Hoist, Slings
  • Ability to perform Basic Maintenance on equipment, cement heads and miscellaneous equipment.
  • Ability to perform Basic equipment function checks in preparation for the job.
  • Knowledge of All Bulk Equipment, High-Pressure Iron rig up and rig down, High Pressure Mixing Pumps, Blenders and Auxiliary Equipment
  • Ability to follow the Journey Management Process.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English to the extent that they can understand verbal and written instructions as well as give verbal and written instructions in English
  • Ability to use simple mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) to make job-related calculations.
  • Basic Computer skills
Minimum Required Education
  • H.S. Diploma - Preferred, or
  • G.E.D. - Preferred
Minimum Required Work Experience
  • 2-4 years
Licenses and CertificationsValid Driver's License - Required, and
Commercial Driver's License - Required, and
