POSITION SUMMARY The Fluid End Technician tests job readiness of equipment while ensuring conformity to standard while operating equipment in high pressure areas and practice work safety procedures. Key Accountabilities
Inspect fluid ends for damaged or worn parts
Wash fluid ends to remove any stagnant sediment
Inspect stay rods and tie bars for proper torque compression
Replace valves and seats
Replace packing elements
Make repairs to fluid ends as needed
Inspect packing bore for wear patterns
Inspect retainer nuts for cracked or broken threads
Inspect seat desk for cracks or indications of a wash-out
Inspect packing bore for wear patterns that could indicate a wash-out
Inspect rod bearings, thrust seats, bull gears and pinion bearings
Properly service and maintain fluid ends in a high-cycle environment
Assess diagnoses when service issues occur and make note of repairs as needed
Support maintenance staff with any operational assistance they may need
Ensure quality of equipment through preventive maintenance and following company standard operating procedures
Document work performed within NexTier's CMMS
Perform final inspections of equipment to monitor safety and efficiency
Perform other job duties as assigned
