Job Summary

The maintenance coordinator oversees maintenance tasks. They supervise the maintenance team to delegate tasks and ensure the team completes high quality work and remains productive. The maintenance coordinator makes sure that all health and safety procedures are followed to ensure a safe working environment. They are the first responder to daily emergencies, tend to equipment that needs repair through coordinating a rapid response team, and ensure equipment receives preventative care as needed. The maintenance coordinator also handles any documentation related to work tasks performed by themselves or their staff.

Job Duties:

● Review, evaluate, and prioritize requests for maintenance.

● Report on activities, budget, supplies, and planned projects.

● Inspect sites regularly, responding to complaints and evaluating current status and needs.

● Identify and resolve maintenance, materials, supplies, and staffing problems.

● Maintain, update, and plan the schedule, including assigning tasks to staff and hiring contractors.

● As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways.

● Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.

● Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.

● Assisting Maintenance. A majority of critical thinking tasks can be completed effectively

Requirements:

● Position is associated with standing, walking, pushing, pulling, climbing, handling, reaching, stretching, and working in tight and high places.

● Must have the ability to remove and replace parts that may weigh up to 45 lbs.

● Must have the ability to use basic computer software to communicate, plan, and delegate tasks to the maintenance team and communicate with supervisors.

● Must be task-oriented, able to handle multiple priorities, and able to competently handle emergency situations.

● Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well.

● Must comply with quality, PPE requirements and safety and understand the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures.
