Minimum Education:
- A bachelor's degree in Social Work or a closely related field is required.
- A master's degree in Social Work or a related field is preferred.
- LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), or LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) is required.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.
- Experience can be substituted with a master's degree in Social Work or a similar field of study.
- Provide therapeutic services to patients in a primary therapist role, including individual therapy.
- Complete mental health assessments and documentation in accordance with policy and procedure, including: (Core History, Suicide Assessments/risk assessments, Weekly/Monthly Progress Notes, Treatment Plans, Discharge Plans)
- Facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Ensure compliance with OMH policies and procedures.
- Participate in CNYPC orientation.
- May have contact with incarcerated individuals, ensuring proper security measures are followed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in therapeutic techniques and mental health assessment tools.
- Experience working with forensic populations is a plus.
- Work Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Exact shift hours (8am-4pm) will be discussed during the interview.
- Health Requirements: Candidates must submit proof of TB testing and a recent flu shot. COVID-19 vaccination is not required.
- Orientation: Candidates will be subject to CNYPC orientation.
- Dress Code: Business casual. Specific items that are allowable and not allowable will be provided.
- Security Measures: OMH staff will see incarcerated individuals in a private setting, with security personnel located in the same hallway.
- Transportation: Free parking is available. The facility is not accessible via public transportation.
