Essential Functions:

* Our Nurse Practitioner is a primary member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner License.

* This individual works within a cooperative department, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.

* In this role the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner is involved in a variety of cases that are customary to an Urgent Care setting. Provide pediatric care to patients from Infant to the age of 21 and their families

Qualifications:

* Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited nursing program

* Active RN and PNP licensure in AL and be board certification as a NP in Pediatric Acute Care, Pediatric Primary Care or Family Care

* 2 year experience providing care as a nurse practitioner

* Strong acute care clinical background preferred but no required

* Manage varied activities in a fast-paced urgent care environment

* Provide evidence-based quality care

* Comfortable with technology [i.e. EMR, Microsoft Suite (word, excel etc.)]

* Strong relationship building skills and ability to work in a team setting

* Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, medical partners at various levels, patients and family members

Rotating Schedule:

Providers will work on a three_four rotating schedules that includes every other weekend, so you are working 7 out of 14 days; Example schedule (Week 1 - Monday, Wednesday and Friday; Week 2 - Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday).

Clinic Hours of Operation

o Monday - Friday 12 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

o Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

* Urgent Care for Children's clinic hours subject to change based on company needs, training, etc.

Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, Urgent Care for Children began serving patients ages zero to 21 in 2017. Currently, we have eight clinics across Alabama. Our centers strive to provide evidence-based quality care and are accredited through the Urgent Care Association (UCA). We employ a robust pediatrician follow up model, in which primary care practitioners are provided with information about their patient's urgent care visit in a very timely manner.
