Implementation and Improvement Facilitator (Ref: 183575)£37,831 - £46,100 (Band 6)Fixed-term contract/secondment to March 2025Full time (37 hours per week) but part time hours may also be consideredEdinburgh or Glasgow hybrid working will apply for the foreseeable futureAn opportunity has arisen for an Implementation and Improvement Facilitator to support Health and Social Care Partnerships with complex, system-wide change in order to improve outcomes for the people of Scotland. In this role you will support the delivery of the Scottish Government Improvement Support for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Standards Implementation. Working, as part of the Substance Use Transformation team. The postholder will work alongside our Improvement Advisors and Clinical Lead for Pharmacy to support the implementation and delivery of the MAT Standards.
The post holder will be involved in the planning and development of improvement support available to external partners to embed our identified in . The post holder must be familiar with project management expertise to collaborate with the Project Officer and Programme Manager to strengthen the programme’s approach to improvement and ensure progress and impact is monitored and evidenced. A key ambition of the programme is to ensure active engagement with people with lived and living experience (LLE), their families, friends, and carers to understand their views and experiences, therefore experience of engaging with a broad range of stakeholders is essential.
The successful candidate will demonstrate skills in quality improvement, project management, engaging with communities and will be able to evidence how they have involved people meaningfully throughout their work. We are looking for a person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills which reflect the person-centred ethos of the programme.
The successful candidates will be motivated individuals with a passion for improvement. This role will:
  • Support the delivery of the improvement programme by providing quality improvement expertise.
  • Promote good practice informed by local improvement projects/tests of change.
  • Offer project management expertise to sustain programme governance, reporting and operational plan.
  • Build a culture of learning sharing the emerging issues by utilising multiple channels of communication.
We are looking for individuals who are educated to degree level in a relevant subject, or have equivalent knowledge and significant experience in improving services in health and social care.
